Beaches in Mumbai
Mumbai is said to be the city that never sleeps because of the hustle and bustle. Although the city is populated and noisy, the beauty of the sea, the horizon, and the sunset remains magical as they are. After hustling the whole week, all we need is to relax on the weekends. One of my favorite things to do is watch the sunsets on the beaches in Mumbai.
Here is a list of some of the beaches.
1. Juhu Beach
Juhu beach is the most famous and crowded beach in Mumbai. It is a perfect picnic spot for the kids during their summer vacation to build sand castles and jump in the waves. It is situated near the domestic and international airport and so you can spot the planes taking off.
There are also too many eatery stalls found here to complete the evening.
There are many hotels like Novotel, JW marriot in the vicinity which gives epic beach views.

2. Aksa Beach:
Aksa beach is situated in Malad and can be reached either by 269 BEST bus from the Borivali route or by auto-rickshaw & obviously private vehicles. This beach is popular among the couples, but many family and children are also seen hanging out. There are many eatery stalls on the beach. It is not safe to get in the water especially during monsoon it gets a bit dangerous as the currents are strong and the sands keeps shifting. Out of the many times we visited this place, the below picture is from the day when the horizon turned pastel ombre, just aafter the sun going down. The view was just amazing.

3. Uttan Beach
This is a secluded beach far away from the city chaos and is situated in a village called Uttan, near Bhayander. The beach is not much crowded, just few people strolling the beach and admiring the tranquil bay. There are narrow zigzag uphill roads to the beach which makes it a thrilling drive. The beach is right in front of a pretty church. Also, there is a beautiful blue structure for the mother Mary statue which along with the sunset gives to it a picturesque appearance.
