Gajalee, [Andheri]

Gajalee is a Malvan sea food Restaurant with many outlets. I had been to the one in Andheri, East, MIDC with my friends.

The service was pretty decent. This restaurant is known for the sea food and we ordered just one fish dish and rest chicken and I regret not ordering more of Fish.

We first ordered Chicken Hot and Sour soup which was really bad and I somehow managed to finish it. It had more of vegetables than chicken.

As you can see from the pictures, the presentation isn't that good and appealing.

Then, we ordered Chicken tikka and Tandoori for starters. Chicken tikka was really dry and unexpected whereas tandoori tasted normal. I couldn't take a picture of it before serving, so just took it in an empty plate.

Then for main course we ordered Prawns masala, Roti/Naan, and Chicken masala which was the best dish of the dinner. It was served on a green banyan leaf giving it a Malvan or south Indian effect.

Chicken Masala had some eggs in it. The gravy was not that good. Prawns masala was much better if compared. So, ya only sea food here!!



Then for main course, we also ordered Chicken Dum biryani and it was really good. It was served in a pot and the quantity was good as well.

Overall the restaurant was good as we did not try the food that it’s known for. I would give it a 3.0, and yes I know it's not fair to rate it since I didn't try much of fish. But, if I come here next I shall try fish. So, I would suggest that you should come here only if you want to eat fish.
