Kyani & Co. [Marine Lines]

We are talking about an Irani restaurant in Marine lines where we went crazy ordering more and more without thinking of the cost, because it's the most economic restaurant serving the yummiest food ever. This place that we love is Kyani & Co. in Marine Lines. It is exactly opposite to the Metro INOX cinema. So, after watching a movie we started hogging at Kyani which absolutely made our day.

This place has a pretty large hall like sitting area (non-ac) and still it was a crowded Saturday afternoon and it's interiors are not that well maintained. However the structure is same since decades so when you enter you will get the feeling of the 70's, this is a reason enough to visit the place. The menu here has a wide variety of Irani dishes added with the fact that the price tag here is totally unreal which left us overwhelmed.

It is well known for breakfast and cakes. Keema and Bun maskka is their specialty. Apart from this I would also suggest you try custards, mava cakes, puddings and pastries . 

Talking about the ambiance, service, and presentation - Don't expect much. They just serve delicious Irani food at the most reasonable rates.

Mutton Keema fry - Well guys, all that hype about Kyani's Keema being delicious is absolutely true. It is an absolute must try for just ₹ 80.

Kheema bhurji - It just looks same as Kheema fry, but it does taste different. Kheema has so many variations at Kyani's. Each one will taste unique and equally delicious. Minced mutton mixed with spices and bhurji and is absolutely delicious.

Chicken seekh kebab - After having the delicious Kheema fry and Kheema bhurji we had high hopes on kebab but we were disappointed. It wasn't hot and fresh, but cold and hard.

Chocolate ice-cream shake -  It did not have the kick of the chocolaty taste, but still was satisfying with the cold ice-cream.

Cherry cold Custard - Underneath the top dry layer was the soft and cold custard which maks yoy say, yummm! Just loved it! It really was a cherry on the cake.

Kyani & Co. is right next to Marine drive. The location is a good hangout spot having a walk along the waterfront would be an awesome idea. A walk in a sunny afternoon, doesn't sound that good right? But we were lucky to have a cool windy afternoon . If you still want to spend some more time exploring this area, check out the Taraporewala Aquarium. It is an option if you are really interested in watching the different species of fishes. The Aquarium wasn't worth because most of the mentioned species weren't present and clicking pictures inside the aquarium is not allowed unless you pay a photograph and video shoot permission charge which will range from ₹ 500 to ₹ 10,000.
