Village- The soul of India, Vashi

'Village' is in Raghuleela mall Vashi, and the mall is right outside the Vashi railway station.

Isn't the theme of this restaurant predictable by the name itself? What comes to one's mind is the people wearing traditional attire and a dramatic dance, wooden chairs and tables, eatery stalls and shops.

The theme and the ambiance is taken up very seriously and let me show you how.

Banners with spelling mistakes all along. We were seated in the 'Bewty Parler' which is one of the shops in the Village. Besides that there was a shop called "Ladiss Teller".

There is also a set up prison with the server boys dressed up as prisoners.

Later in the evening  there is also a traditional dance with a horse costume happening, which is initiated by some staff members and then others join as well.  Amusing, isn't it?

Well that's a lot for the theme, now let me talk about the cleanliness. This place ain't that clean. Expect a bit of dust and a small cockroach as well. Let's just joke it off by saying, hey that's all village vibes, huh!.

Food - This place has a buffet system, and it claims to be specialized in  North Indian, Gujarati, Lucknowi, Maharashtrian, South Indian and street food.
For starters they served us sev chaat, fish koliwada, and chicken chilly. All of these tasted bland and nothing tasty about it.

And after that you need to just walk around and check out what food you gonna eat.

There's a large variety of food options available like Pani Puri, juices, masala dosa, pav bhaji, chicken biryani, etc

Well, the endings too were bad here. The after food refreshments like raw mango kairi, star fruit, jam, amla, and the sweet paan, were displayed. From which I tried the star fruit, and it was utter disappointment, it was stale and tasted really bad, so did not taste anything else after that. And the sweet paan that's kept, don't expect it to be a part of the buffet. There's an additional charge you need to pay for it.

The only thing that I liked here is the Prawns chaat puri, and the drinks like the strawberry, and the pudina and jeera drink.

Let me spoil it more as it did for me, the washrooms of the mall are exceptionally dirty and stinky. Ya that's it, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. 

For me, tasty and fresh food, cleanliness is more important than a theme set up, don't you'll agree enough?
