GRANDMAMA’S CAFÉ

Grandmama’s café has 7 outlets in Mumbai. We visited the one in Ghatkopar in Rcity Mall.

Green wooden doors, colourful table and chairs, artistic photo frames hanging on the wall and the décor entirely makes this café a really cute place to hang out with your buddy. For all the cricket lovers, it streams live cricket match on the projector. The overall vibe is pretty good.

This café serves delicious American and Italian food and beverages and claims to have the recipes inspired by grandmas'.

Here’s what we ordered:

Hazelnut Mocha had Cappuccino further refined with toasted hazelnuts and chocolate flavor. It tasted heavenly and we absolutely loved it. It was delicious but also looked too pretty with a cool design on top with chocolate syrup.

Irish coffee had Espresso with sugar and non-alcoholic whiskey syrup, topped with whipped cream. It was bitter but not bad. Nothing beats Hazelnut Mocha.

Grilled chicken Caesar salad had romaine and iceberg lettuce, caper berries, sun dried tomatoes, herb croutons, parmesan, and grilled chicken pieces in a creamy mouth-smacking Caesar dressing. It looked so delicious and we were so hungry, that we remembered to click a picture after finishing half of the bowl. Yes, it tasted delicious too. My mouth is watering and I am extremely hungry as I am writing this.

Barbeque chicken pizza with barbeque chicken, stringy mozzarella, caramelized onion and bell peppers. It had a thin crispy crust and tasted like an average pizza and it wasn’t juicy as I like my pizza to be. 

 The service was decently average. I would love to visit this cafe again and try out some other stuff.
